Detailed Description

This publication accompanies the exhibition held at ULITA - an Archive of International Textiles at the University of Leeds in 2017. The exhibition and publication include items from the ULITA collection and from the Museum of Domestic Design & Architecture at Middlesex University. The publication embraces several related themes; katagami as an aesthetic tool, its design and production, as well as the social and cultural significance of the craft and its products.
